Management and all who work at PT. Lestari Mahaputra Buana are committed to good environmental performance and the use of Pencil Slat from sustainable resources. We also have established and followed a rigorous traceability system, enabling the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) logo to be printed on product in accordance with the requirements of our customers.
This traceability system covers:
- Examination of wood suppliers and their certificate as well maintaining its related database
- Specification and purchasing of FSC® material as required
- Examination and control of receiving material process and its documentation
- Control of FSC® material from storage through production process until finishing
- Provision of appropriate shipment process and invoice documentation
- Examination of areas where the system could fail, and complete it with appropriate corrective action
- Training of personnel who could affect the sustainability process of FSC® system
- Examination of the system to ensure that it is in accordance with the objectives stated previously and done by everyone involved in it
Lestari Mahaputra Buana understand FSC® policy and explicitly accept for now and in the future, as long as having relationship with FSC®, both directly and indirectly not involved in the following unacceptable activities:
- Illegal logging and illegal wood trading
- Violation of traditional beliefs and human rights in forestry activity
- Destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations
- Significant conversion of forest to plantations or non forest use
- Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations
- Violations of ILO Core Conventions as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
